The pond supervisor can gather valuable information about the shrimp's feeding habits and the conditions within the pond. Inspections should be conducted every 1 to 2 hours to check the amount of feed in the feeding trays and observe how quickly the shrimp consume it. Based on these observations, adjustments can be made to the feeding program, such as changing the amount of feed given at the next meal, increasing or decreasing the amount of feed for a specific meal, or planning the overall feed for the next day. It's important to adjust the amount of feed based on the actual situation, including the pond environment, weather, and other factors.
The following table outlines the recommended actions to be taken based on the amount of feed leftover in the feeding trays. Inspections can be conducted at intervals of 1 to 2 hours
AMOUNT OF FEED LEFTOVER (%) | ACTION |
---|---|
0 | Increase 5% feed amount for the next feeding time. |
10 | Keep the same amount |
11 - 25 | Reduce 10% feed amount for next feeding time |
26 - 50 | Reduce 30% feed amount for next feeding time. |
> 50 | Stop feeding the next time |
